HOSHI GRANDMARNIER - kitsuma hayato wa naki no ryu
aka Ranma, Ranchan Image Color: ORANGE Celebrates his birthday every 1st March and always a 15 year old. Blood Type A. Birthplace: KAGOSHIMA. Ranma is the other guitarist of the band, and probably the one to get you rolling on the floor laughing so hard that you can't breathe, with anything he does other than guitar playing. This guy is so helpless sometimes that it's not funny anymore. Ranma has mentioned before on how he doesn't like gigs because it's 'scary' and he gets all 'very nervous'. It is difficult for Ranma to speak up in front of a crowd thus throughout the band's history, his stage calls does not vary very much. BUT, should this be in anyway a fault or bad point, Ranma's songs and music contributions makes up for it. His song contribution includes Ai to Heiwa, Boso Skyline Phantom, DxIxY, Koukou Yotarou Kumikyoku, Made In The World, 330, Ichibanboshi, Ore ga Ore de Ore dakara, Peter Pan Express, Andromeda no Senpai, Myuu and Yukai na Nakamatachi. He too worked with Show on the melody to Secret Love Story. Ranma is also perhaps the only one in the band to be blessed with naturally good vocals. He is the main backup vocals to higer-pitched parts and had bigger singing parts to Secret Love Story, Ai to Heiwa and Tetsu no Heart. He is also the main vocals to the song 330. Ranma loves to drink and he can be seen rummaging the fridge for beers in the Koibito DVD. Show has mentioned in interviews on how Ranma turns to drinking due to the fact that he's troubled with everyday things, and while he may be drinking it is actually the alcohol that consumes him. Ranma's love for alcohol has become a problem, not only recently in the Tokyo Dome live (see: WHY was RANMA not at Tokyo Dome 'The Last Song'?), but also before where he had thrashed up (two) hotel rooms. Although during the Tokyo Dome live Kishidan has roped in producer ABE 'DON' YOSHIHARU to take over Ranma's part, the latter was sorely missed in the live. His absence in the music was also obvious especially in songs like Boys Bravo. Ranma does not really have any prominent solo acts other than his juggling act [LA RANMA!] during the Arena Tour 2004. His solo act of blowing the Ocarina was unfortunately cut from the Banpaku live DVD. |
