SHIRATORI SHOCHIKUBAI - hachimitsu daisuki kogumachan
aka Matsubo, Macchan, Matsu Image Color: GREEN Celebrates his birthday every 17th March, always at an angry 15 years old. Blood Type A. Birthplace: KAGOSHIMA. Matsubo, the bassist of the band, is easily spotted out with his long silky black hair. One might be inclined to think that he's always annoyed or about to punch someone's face at random with the dark look he always carries on his face. Even leader Show displays fear towards Matsubo onstage sometimes. But in actual fact Matsubo is a very friendly and kind guy as we can see from the various skits and TV shows (eg. Kishidan x Kishidan). Always with a sweet tooth, he has created the catch phrase of "I'm sorry that it's sweet" with his subgroup FUU-UN! MATSU-JUKU. Hailing from Kagoshima like fellow band mate Ranma, he is real brothers of "different tummies different sperms" with Yukki. Matsu likes PRIDE and seems to know some form of martial arts too. He can be often seen practicing his movements in clips and he had too successfully karate-chopped an ice block as shown in the Tokyo Dome dvd. Matsubo has a somewhat low-key husky voice, but he is the one who sang the high-pitch ending to Secret Love Story. Little is known about Matsubo's private life but it is written in the official website that he once disappeared for a few days after being rejected when he confessed his love for a lady who lived in Matsudo City, Chiba. But Matsubo claimed to have zero memory of the entire disappearance incident. Thus the pictures to the lyric sheet of [Kekkon Toukon Shinkoukyoku Mabudachi] could be a mockery of the incident. According to Show, Matsubo once was suddenly without a place to stay and lived in capsule hotels and spent his time in (baseball) batting centers. Show has mentioned that he still does not quite understand this bassist of his band. While Matsubo might not have any contributions to songwriting so far, his bass playing is in no way something to be dismissed! In some songs he may just be a rhythm backup but his bass lines can be heard in many songs too like [Wangan Yasoukyoku], [Delicate ni Kiss Shite], [Run Bakuraten Run] and [Kokudou 127 Sengou no Shiroki Inazuma]. |
