IS : [Kotodama] is a song that we regularly play in our Lives from a long time ago. I can say that if you mention Kagrra, then people will remember this song. It's as famous as that. IZ : Yup. This song brings back a lot of memories. IS : When we were recording the song for this single we discovered a new side of this song. AK : We made a remix and an acoustic version of the song but I think both are A-side melodies. Although they are three renditions of the same song I strongly believe that you can listen to them as three separate songs. IS : That is why it is important for the listener to really pay attention to the rhythm of the song. Due to requests from the fans we have also included the lyrics to [Kotodama] in this single. I would really appreciate it if you will take time to read and try to understand the tale behind the lyrics. SH : I'll be satisfied just by knowing that our fans will listen to the CD and then is able to come up with their own interpretation of the songs. IS : That is important isn't it...With having your own sentiment towards the song you will be able to realize if this song is something you want from us. NA : We made a few changes to the new recording of the song, even a new arrangement, it would be really good if the listener is be able to realize this. I see. What about [Sakura Maichiru ano Oka de]? IS : This is also another song from our earlier days and is still played during our Lives... in fact at the end of our Lives. We also wish for the fans to except this song as a new song. We did a lot of changes to the old version of the song and came up with a new edition of [Sakura maichiru~]. IZ : Yes, please try to listen to it and discover what is new to the song. IS : I realize that not a lot of people own the compilation CD with this song on it and that is why I hope that our old fans will be able to gain a new perspective of the new remake. Also, it would be great if we get new fans from this single. AK : If you think that [Kotodama] has a dark tune to it then this single will be the opposite. Rather than saying it has a pop tune, I think one will be able to listen to this song and in return receive a fresh and lively feeling. IS : Yes, the double singles are like shadow and light. [Sakura maichiru~] is a bright song but at the same time it projects a sad feeling. We worked very hard on this song to initially come up with the final piece so please listen to it. |
