[ code : {IS} ISSHI, {AK} AKIYA, {SH} SHIN, {NA} NAO, {IZ} IZUMI ] The summer heat is still lingering in the air even at this time. Will you tell us about your "Summer Memories"? AK : That would definitely be the time when all five of us met for the first time on a summer day just like this three years ago. SH : Even though that was our fist time meeting each other, I remembered everyone coming late. We were all sleeping before that. IZ : Nevertheless we all met but we didn't speak of music at all that day. Instead, we played all sorts of games until very late that night. IS : All of us are definitely indoor people. Nao and I love to be in seclusion of our homes. If it was not for sickness or hunger, I'd never leave my house. In fact, the only time I go out is to buy food. Even so, it's just to go to the ramen(Japanese noodles) store which is just 10 seconds away from my house on foot. Even though relaxing in my home would be best I still wonder why I used to spend time at Nao's place... AK : To think that we've never met before that day, we actually played a game to see who would end up asleep first that night. Nao lost in that one. NA : As a punishment(batsu game), they made me wear Isshi's Goltier coat and walk to the kombeni(convenient store). It wasn't a normal looking coat, it was a coat that came with this really fluffy and gaudy neckerchief that women wear!! Damn, I'd never forget that summer. SH : And then there was that 'L tragedy'. NA : Ah, enough already! IS : That was another batsu game wasn't it? This time it was Shin, Izumi and I who lost. We were made to go to the temple in the middle of the night on foot. We realized that Akiya and Nao was following behind us, trying to give us a fright or something, but...On our way home we dropped something onto the pathway and started running. NA : Hey, continue the story yourself! *laugh* See, it was late so you tend to be alert at night of any danger. Naturally, when one person runs off, it will trigger everyone to start running. I did too. However a mishap had to befall me again, I slipped and cut myself on the shin. And the shape of the cut was of the letter 'L'. IZ : You were bleeding quite heavily too. NA : I thought Akiya was going to stop and help me but he didn't. *laugh* AK : I was running for my life then. And that all happened the first time we met. IS : At that time we were still so full of energy and vigor. Such young cute boys then. *laugh* So what about after your meeting with each other, tell us about Kagrra's "Summer Memories". AK : Last year and this year was entirely just our Lives. Look at us, we even work when the heat is at it's peak. SH : We didn't release any new songs in early summer. The first new single was [Tsurezure naru mama ni] released in July. NA : But that song has a spring image than a summer one. IZ : We have a lot of spring and winter songs. The only song that would reflect summer, in a small way, was [Kami Uta] that was released in June. IS : In summer you'd want something fresh. I guess we have no summer songs because Kagrra is just not very refreshing. *laugh* But we do have a lot of winter and spring songs. The season does influence us in our song making. Maybe summer just doesn't go with Kagrra. Just by looking at your costumes I can see that. Lives will be a pain... IS : It looks like we will be having white costumes for this summer but it still is definitely going to be hot! *laugh* But image wise, summer does have a few things to it that people tend to dislike. We tried composing [Kami Uta] and I thought that it can be a summer song. Plus, the promotional Lives were fun. IZ : Recently we have come to the realization of how important each and every one of our Live events are. SH : If we view it from the audience count, last year we had more people come to watch us but our Lives this year are longer and we played more songs. But I didn't listen to TUBE this year so I didn't really feel summer. NA : Izumi is always saying 'Look at me please,' after every Live this summer. *laugh* IZ : Well, that's because during [Hyakki Yakou] all of you would go up to the front of the stage and I'm left behind. I get lonely too you know with only my drums. IS : But we do communicate with our eyes, don't we? IZ : I guess you're right. Before we play a song, Isshi would always turn his head back to look at me, as if giving me a sign. That's what I mean when I ask for all of you to look at me. I hope the rest of you will do that the next time. IS : Are you saying that you are short of love from us? *laugh* NA : Hey, we will love you madly too!! IZ : Then, wil you let me go up front, maybe with my percussions? AK : You do remember that our stage is not that large... SH : Stage congestion man! IS : I'm sorry but are you saying that my costume gets in the way?? We all know we get pretty tired in summer. So you think you guys are up for it, physically? IS : In summer, the brain can get ill if we don't take precautions due to the extreme heat. It's more spiritual than physical. I actually don't lose appetite in summer but it seems normal now. I used to be able to eat servings for three people before but it seems that my health conditions are different now. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I'd feel a bit sick. It worries me at times. SH : I don't know but it sounds like you're turning into a grandfather. NA : Isshi and his mid life crisis. *laugh* IS : The first thing I check when I wake up in the morning is my voce. I will straight away practice on my vocals. And guess what I discovered...I found out that for a vocalist to maintain a powerful voice, he needs at least 12 hours of sleep! IZ : 12 hours is too much! *laugh* Our One Man Tour is coming soon so everyone should preserve their energy. AK : Yeah, let's take all our summer memories and make this Live a great one!! NA : I hope autumn comes soon... |
